Learn About Us

Cape Fear Museum explores the history, science and cultures of the Lower Cape Fear through exhibits and educational programs. Visitors are encouraged to discover the man-made and natural world around them through the interpretation of historic artifacts of the region and hands-on scientific inquiry.

Museum fundraising efforts are governed by Cape Fear Museum Associates, Inc. (CFMA), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) whose purpose is to solicit and receive contributions and donations for the Museum. CFMA ensures the success of the Museum through fundraising, grant writing, programs, membership and promoting the Museum’s mission throughout the community.
